Some Old Friends Say "Hi"

DSCN2769.JPG
Pastor Riddlebarger ran into some old friends on Sunday (June 22) at the Coram Deo URC in Denver.  The Kims (Will and Olga, along with their three children) and the McGoverns (Jack and Christie, and their triplets)  are now members there.

Both Will and Jack are serving Coram Deo as elders.  They wanted to say "hi" to all their old friends @ Christ Reformed.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

Join us each Wednesday evening at 7:15 for evening prayer followed by bible study at 7:30.

This summer the Reverend Marcelo Souza is teaching a class on early Church history.

Our class will cover early Church history from the birth of the Church to the time of Augustine and the first ecumenical councils.  We will use the Bible to correlate Scripture with each period of Church history and the issues that were debated.  How did doctrine develop?  What issues did each ecumenical council address?  How does the theology of the early Church affect us today?  What heresies keep reappearing?  What do we learn from the past so we don’t repeat the same mistakes in the future?  We will use the following books during our summer study; Henry Chadwick, The Early Church, J. N. D. Kelly, Early Christian Doctrines, Jaroslav Pelikan, The Christian Tradition: A History of the Development of the Doctrine, Volume 1 : The Emergence of the Catholic Tradition (100-600) and R. W. Southem, Western Society and the Chruch in the Middle Ages.

Pam Compton's Been Moonlighting

DSC_9043_edited-1.jpgYup, that's our very own Pam "Hazel" Compton, playing the "Hazel Wright" organ in the Crystal Cathedral.

Pam was playing for Valley Christian High's recent commencement service.  Jeff Stolpp snapped the photos.
