GEMS
The GEMS girls club Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM
Join us on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. as we continue another exciting year of GEMS. This is an excellent opportunity for your girls to learn the catechism, fellowship with each other, build lasting friendships and learn new things.
Annual Theme: Prayer – No Worries!
God is sovereign, all-knowing, and all foreseeing. In His infinite wisdom and boundless love, He gives repeated instruction in His Word that we must pray. Understanding that God knows all things – even what we’ll pray before we pray it – why should we pray? We pray in obedience to God who tells us to pray about everything with thanksgiving and to worry about nothing.
GEMS Girls’ Clubs is excited to spend the season learning about prayer!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 27 – Patrick Yamada
What do you understand by the providence of God?
The almighty, everywhere-present power of God, whereby, as it were by His hand, He still upholds heaven and earth with all creatures, and so governs them that herbs and grass, rain and drought, fruitful and barren years, meat and drink, health and sickness, riches and poverty, indeed, all things come not by chance, but by His fatherly hand.
Memory Verse: Proverbs 16:33
The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.

Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 28 – Patrick Yamada
What does it profit us to know that God created, and by His providence upholds, all things?
That we may be patient in adversity, thankful in prosperity, and for what is future have good confidence in our faithful God and Father, that no creature shall separate us from His love, since all creatures are so in His hand, that without His will they cannot so much as move.
Memory Verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
