The Cadets have just returned from a wonderful weekend of fellowship and fun at Caspers Wilderness Park in South Orange County. The days were filled with good food, hikes, games, water fights, and a tour of the nature center. The nights were filled with more good food, a lesson from a local astronomer and fireside chats.

We especially thank Rick Wickstrom whose planning and attention to detail went above and beyond the call of duty and made for a flawless trip. We give thanks to Pastor Andrew for the study and preparation that lead to the excellent outdoor worship service on Sunday morning. We thank all the men who came to support our church, and we thank the LORD for blessing our time together.

Please remember to keep our youth in your prayers, praying for the continued success of our Sunday schools and youth programs.

The congregation of Christ Reformed Church voted overwhelmingly to call the Rev. Marcelo Souza to be our new Associate Pastor.   The financial package was also unanimously approved.

Marcelo, his wife Heather, and son Sean, will be welcomed by the congregation  at a reception on Sunday, October 1, immediately after our worship service.  Please join us for this wonderful occasion!

Here are a few of the hearty souls who hiked to TJ Lake, one of the Mammoth Lakes.

Over 50 people made it up to Mammoth this year, to camp, condo, fish, hike, and enjoy the beauty of the wilderness.

On Wednesday night, 42 people showed up around the campfire!

We had a blast!  We had great fellowship, good food, and made lots of new friends.

We'll have to do this again next year!
